A Letter from the President

Happy New Year! With the arrival of 2018, it’s a perfect time to reflect on last year’s journey at Peace of Mind Technologies and take a look at what’s to come in the future.
I’d like to begin by thanking those who make our work possible, including our employees, our partners, our clients, and the many others who have contributed to our success. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do best: educate our community on new technologies that help keep them connected and protected in their everyday lives. We are forever grateful for your support.
The Year in Review
2017 was an exciting year for us. In addition to providing our services to our usual client segments, which range from commercial and multi-unit residential buildings to hotels, hospitals, and K-12 schools, we discovered a need for our solutions in institutions. As a result, we took on four new institutes of higher education and three new museums, all of which had their own unique safety needs and challenges. We also developed a stronger focus on remote work and upgraded our remote interactive video monitoring services. In growing our division, we are now able to accommodate our premier clients 24/7. As our client-base and work continues to expand, so does our company. We welcomed 15 new people to the team last year and are thrilled to have them on board.
A Road Map to the Future
We have much to look forward to in 2018. First and foremost, we are pleased to announce a new partnership that we are confident will transform the way New York and New Jersey schools respond to emergencies. Ruvna is a digital crisis platform that replaces the clipboard/roster method during a school emergency, offering complete accountability of everyone in the building and seamless communication among users. Ruvna is amazing technology that we are proud to be a part of, and we look forward to incorporating it into our school security plans.
We are also adopting new technology internally. In the coming year, our company will begin using a new and advanced, web-based professional service automation (PSA) software solution that provides quicker and more efficient project management. The software will help us optimize our service communication and processes, significantly benefiting both our employees and our clients.
Behind the Business
A business is only as strong as the people that drive it forward, and I couldn’t be more appreciative of the team we’ve built at POM. Each of our employees have individual strengths that contribute to our company’s progression and balance, yet all of them embody our core values: drive, integrity, sensational service, innovation, and leadership.
We recognize exceptional demonstration of our values by presenting one employee with the POM Eagle Award each month. We also recognize excellence in our year-end awards, some of which went to James Michaud for Employee of the Year, Michael Reid for Rookie of the Year, and Elvin Garcia for Sensational Service.
Our Peace of Mind Promise
The future is bright for our company and we are ready to embark on our 2018 journey. We look forward to taking on new projects, working closer with our current clients, and tackling any new challenges that arise along the way. Above all, we will continue to follow through with our peace of mind promise to remain dedicated security partners that offer the latest and greatest security solutions to our customers.
