Property Markets Group Relies on PEACE of MIND Technologies for Turnkey Solutions that Blend Technology and Design in New York's Greenwich Village
When Property Markets Group (PMG) of New York, a full-service, large-scale developer of residential and commercial properties, targeted a historic late-nineteenth century factory space at 173 MacDougal Street for renovation, they looked to PEACE of MIND Technologies (POM) of Manhattan to deliver security, surveillance and cutting edge, in-unit home entertainment and automation platforms.
PMG gave POM two main directives for the MacDougal property: ensure the safety of building residents and create a sophisticated but comfortable living environment that with one-touch controls music, lighting, heating/cooling, intercom, security and even window shades.
The eight luxurious Manhattan units and lobby in this six-story building required careful planning to maintain the commitment to design while incorporating the necessary technological amenities. As soon as the renovations were conceived, POM worked hand-in-hand with PMG's team to determine the best solutions for each floor and unit.
For the safety of the building and its residents, POM outfitted the roof and perimeter of the building as well as the lobby area and elevators with cameras, audio/video intercom interface, and access control systems. In the units, POM consulted and coordinated the efforts of building electricians and heating and air conditioning technicians to properly pre-wire units with telecommunications, network and audio/video cables that were the backbone of the integrated music, intercom, alarm, HVAC, communications and lighting control systems. To access these features, POM installed Crestron Isys wall mount color touch panels in each residence which allow residents to easily control every function from this single station. Features include a Crestron iLux Multi-Zone Lighting and Dimming System, Crestron Adagio Entertainment System with satellite and AM/FM radio and iPod docking station, Paradigm in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, Seidle audio/video intercom system, and a Honeywell Vista alarm system.
PMG has sought POM's expertise on previous luxury renovation and development projects including properties at 823 Park Avenue and 60 Beach Street, also located in New York City.
POM's ability to understand the needs of luxury developers and work closely with them to tailor and refine properties to their specifications is the foundation upon which POM continues to builds its many successful partnerships.
